Joyce H Monday
May 3, 1948 — December 17, 2024
I am honored to add Joyce's Obituary [hereI to my humble substack. Maybe 'honored' is not the right word but I don't know a better way to describe this very lovely Angel, Joyce Monday.
I knew her as a very important addition to my brother's life. Joyce not only enriched Joe's life with her beautiful caring soul, but as an added bonus her children rounded out Joe's yearning for children.
Each of them, Joe and Joyce, viewed the other as the 'love of my life'. For 24 years they enriched each other's lives. This kind of love is truly a Gift from God.
This paragraph from the linked obituary struck me as a wonderful summary:
"Joyce was a very hard working, caring individual. She enjoyed the simple things in life and often would say how “blessed” she was. With a beautiful smile and a kind heart, she was always the first to donate her time, money and energy to help others. She loved connecting with people and being part of something bigger than herself. Joyce was a dedicated follower of Jesus and loved the Lord with all of her heart. She shined with His light and was a wonderful example of God’s love. Joyce was an extraordinary lady and certainly lived up to her nickname “Joy”. She will be greatly missed, but forever loved and never forgotten."
When Kim, Joyce's daughter, told me Joyce had shed life's burden an image popped into my brain. Joe was there to greet her with open arms and a hug. They joined hands and went skipping off into the Heavenly Clouds.
And that's how I will remember both of them.

Thank you for that Beautiful post!! Joe(Dad) and my sweet doodie bug mom(Joyce) both loves the Lord and where such a crucial part to the man I am today. I am so thankful they were able to witness the man I finally became. God bless your heart sweet Marilyn and thank you❤️🙏
